Creator, $29
For your own channel or show
Covers: online videos on your own channels (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Vimeo), monetized or not; podcasts and video podcasts; social posts, Reels, Shorts and stories; online classes and guided meditations you publish on your own channel.
What you get:
- A non-exclusive license for one track, for as many of your own videos or episodes as you like
- WAV master
- A PDF license with your name, the track and your channel
- No credit required (always appreciated)
- No Content ID claims from me
- Freedom to trim, loop and fade the track to fit
Not included: TV, radio, paid ads, apps, phone on-hold, client work, or playing it in a studio or business. Those need the Business or Organization license.

Covers everything in Creator, plus commercial use for one business or client:

Not included: paid ad campaigns, TV and radio broadcast, or multi-location organizations. Those need the Organization license.
Organization, $299
For organizations, ads and broadcast
Covers everything in Business, plus:
- Use across your whole organization: every location, brand, department and phone system
- Paid advertising and broadcast (TV, radio, streaming and online ads) for one campaign or 12 months, whichever you choose at checkout
- Anything you made during that window stays licensed afterward. Only new ad flights need a new license.
What you get:
- Everything in Business
- The PDF license names your organization and the campaign or 12-month window
Not included: exclusivity, or building the track into something you sell (for example a phone system, template pack or music app). Ask me for a custom quote.
You may not resell the track as music on its own, put it in a music library, register it with Content ID or any other fingerprinting service, claim you wrote it, or transfer the license without my written OK. Paul Samuel Shuler / Macroform Music keeps the copyright: you're buying permission to use the track, not the song itself. Need something these licenses don't cover? How long does the license last?
Forever. The license is perpetual for everything you make under it. The only time limit is the paid-ads and broadcast run in the Organization license (one campaign or 12 months). Even then, content you made in that window stays licensed.
Do I have to credit you?
No. Credit is always appreciated ("Music: Macroform – macroformmusic.com"), but it's never required.
Can I edit the music?
Yes. Trim it, loop it, fade it and mix it under your voice. What you can't do is release the track, or a remix of it, as music on its own.
Does one license cover several tracks?
Each license covers one track. Using three or more, or a whole album? Ask me for a bundle quote.
I make videos for clients. Which license do I need?
Business ($99). I'll issue it in your client's name so they're covered after you hand off the project. For ads or broadcast, choose Organization.
Simplicity comes free with Asterisk and FreePBX. Why pay?
Those copies come under Creative Commons (CC BY-SA 3.0), which requires attribution and share-alike. A paid license lets you use it without attribution, and you get the full-quality WAV master and a signed license for your files. It also directly supports the person who wrote it. That's me. Thank you!
What files will I get?
A WAV master of your track and a signed PDF license naming you, the track and your project.
Can I get exclusive rights or a custom piece?
Sometimes, yes. Use the custom quote form below.
Is this "royalty-free"?
You pay me once and never owe me anything more for your licensed use. if your project airs on TV or radio, the broadcaster's usual performing-rights license (for example ASCAP) covers the performance, at no extra cost to you.
